This was really starting to get weird for her.
Earlier today Majin Moire had been patrolling the streets and going about her business, all the while looking to see if there were any ways for her to earn a bit of extra cash on the side. Though she can always conjure up some zeni herself, she was fairly certain that the trained eye would be able to spot the difference and call her out for attempting fraud or something like that. As it stands, she didn't really have much she could do to earn some more zeni, since people either didn't have need for her skills or didn't want her around given the fact that she was a majin in the first place. This Majin Liari certainly has done quite a bit to ruin the image of majin to most of the people on this planet, hasn't she?
As she moves into an alleyway, however, a lone figure completely covered in a massive trench coat calls out to Moire besides a dumpster, asking, "Hey there. You, uh, do some magic, don't ya?" A bit confused at how unorthodox this was, Moire moves over towards the man and responds, "Well, yes actually. Why exactly do you ask?" The man's eyes dart left and right as if he were checking to see if anybody was listening before stating, "Look, I might have a job that needs to be done. Gotta pay a visit to someone who's done us dirty in the past, you catch my drift? What I need from you is to just stick around with us and give us what we need when the time comes, and we'll make sure you get a paycheck."
Moire raises her brow and asks, "Oh, well who's this friend?" "Can't share details here. Meet me at the bank tonight at around 10, over in the back alley. Don't be late." With that, the man slips away from Moire, and he disappears in a near instant from sight. She was still very much confused with what just happened, but the promise of zeni was certainly quite enticing, whatever it is that she's going to do.
About two hours before the meeting Moire was still checking the bank out as it had closed quite some time ago. The majin's eyes were darting all over the place to see all sorts of different entrances, but there were still those thoughts that still rang in her ears. Moire still didn't quite know what was it she was supposed to do, nor did she know why they were doing this at a bank. Was one of the tellers there responsible for something that happened to the guy, or perhaps one of the security guards? She didn't quite know, and she won't find out for a while as a man walks up behind her and asks, "And what exactly are you doing here, majin?"
The majin turns her head around and notices a finely dressed policeman standing right behind her, his brow cocked in confusion as to what she was doing there. "If I didn't know any better, I'd think that you're planning something, the way you've been staring at that bank." Moire shifts her entire body around and raises her hands up a bit before explaining, "What, no! Well, yes, but look, I've been told to wait around so that I can help someone pay a visit to another, something about doing them dirty." The officer leans closer to the majin before asking, "Really? Could you perhaps give a description of the man who you spoke to?" Moire didn't exactly see a reason why not considering the fact that they weren't going to be doing anything bad... Or, wait, would they?
"I'm not quite sure. All I could see was a pair of eyes underneath some big old trench coat." "Color?" he asks, geting closer and closer to Moire's face as if making absolutely sure that she wasn't lying. "B-black. It was black," she answers, now looking away from the uncomfortably close policeman. After remaining in place for a few moments, he backs away from her before asking, "When and where?" "Back of the bank at 10 tonight." The officer takes a notepad out and jots something in it down before stating, "Continue your business as usual, and thank you for the information." The officer then takes his leave of the scene, leaving the utterly confused majin behind as she goes back to waiting around for the man to make his return.
At exactly 10 at night, the man finally arrives at the spot where Moire was told to wait. The majin walks up to her employer and finally asks, "So wait, what is it that we're even doing out here at the bank?" "It's a robbery, you dolt," he harshly responds, "Thought you'd get that by now, or are you really just that stupid?" "Robbery?" She questions as three more robbers arrive, two men and one woman in totality amongst the newcomers. "Is there a problem, boss?" One of the men asks, glaring right at Moire in the meantime. "Not for long, it seems," he mutters before pulling out a pocket knife, realizing that he's gotten the wrong one for the job.
He was, of course, right about the fact that there won't be a problem for long. "Fine then!" She yells before raising her hands up, one pointing two fingers at the boss while the other points three at the three henchmen. Lightning crackles between the majin's fingertips before a wave of purple electricity is fired outward, frying the thieves and knocking them unconscious almost immediately. The moment they all went down, however, a spotlight is shone down from the bank above as if an alarm had been tripped. Moire moves her hand to shield her eyes as she hears heavy footsteps making their way down the alleyway. Police officers and SWAT members all move in to grab the criminals and cuff them right then and there.
In the confusion, Moire steps a bit back and accidentally bumps right into the very same officer she had just met two hours ago. She turns right around to meet him, but before she could say anything he states, "Sorry for putting you out as bait, but you certainly did a number on the Slimcognitos, didn't you? Not sure if you knew or not, but they were being a real pain in our rears for quite some time, so we have you to thank for. Here, keep the change." The officer hands Moire a small bag before moving over to where the unconscious bodies were. She opens her mouth to ask a question, but so many were flooding her head that she didn't quite seem to know where to start, eventually giving up and just taking her leave of the scene. As she walks away, the majin unzips the bag and peers inside, realizing that the man had given her a decent sum of cash, likely for the bounty that the men and woman had on their heads. She turns back towards the officers one last time before deciding to leave them to their jobs, just giving them a soft smile as she walks away from them, content that she had just now been paid for messing up her original job.
